My standout moment from this year is a feeling tha My standout moment from this year is a feeling that will stay with me forever.

The reaction after the talk I delivered at this years @sociallyshared conference was astonishing, heartwarming and actually quite surreal.

"You were the talk of the toilets"

"Someone put this woman on stage FULL TIME"

"You were one of the best speakers of the day...what an absolute beautiful human you are and an inspiration "

"You were superb, just as I knew you would be. Keep standing up and talking and sharing your wisdom because people are really listening"

I was stunned.

And the main reason for this reaction?

I welled up on stage, twice - in front of 100 women, many of whom I knew.

The theme of the talks was ambition so I chose to speak about how it had never been my ambition to run my own business. It had definitely never been an ambition to stand up on stage and speak in front of audiences.
But then I became a mum.

Knowing about the impact we were having on our planet and what that could mean for my children had lead us to live an increasingly sustainable lifestyle.

But hearing about the barriers others were experiencing - too expensive, overwhelm from too much information, fear of greenwashing, not enough time to do the research etc. etc.

So I did the thing I'd never intended on doing - start my own business. And my mission to simplify sustainable living has since led me to speak in public.

And on this particular day, in front of so many amazing women, when I mentioned my children, I welled up.

Unbeknown to me, half the room felt my emotion and welled up too.

When I look back at the phenomenal line up of speakers at that event and think about the reaction after my 10 minute talk, I'm genuinely humbled.

Its not just a highlight of my year, its a highlight of my entire time as a business owner.

Next on my list of highlights from this year is an Next on my list of highlights from this year is an entire weekend!

No. 2 slot goes to the time I got to spend with so many wonderful humans at the @homelifeandyou show.

My first ever public appearance was at this show 2 years ago, and I'll be forever grateful to show director @pennymoyses for taking a leap of faith in me.

This year, I was on the speaker line up both days - and can now add yet another claim that I couldn't ever imagine I'd make....

I was on stage directly after the global icon that is @mariekondo - a real pinch me moment!

But this show is so much more than an opportunity to share my passion - it's a particular highlight because of the people involved in the show.

Everyone involved in putting the show together are just the most gorgeous people you can imagine.

It's been so exciting seeing the show evolve over the 3 events I've been a part of and I cannot wait to see where it goes next year.

Each year it gets bigger and better!

So mark 17th and 18th Ocotber 2026 in your diary and join us at the Excel to see what you've been missing.

I may well see you there. 😉
In May this year, I realised a dream. My dream wa In May this year, I realised a dream.

My dream was to cohost my first ever retreat - and thanks to @shehnaaz_latif - it was the most perfect day imaginable.

Shehnaaz had approached me about cohosting a retreat together last year - and I jumped at the chance.

Between us we created our Slow Living retreat - a day of connecting with nature, of taking time out and of reminding ourselves what's really important for our wellbeing.

And it was absolutely blissful!

The venue was in the middle of a woodland, the sun shone and we all left with a sense of calm that lasted for days afterwards.

So this memory was an easy choice for no.3 of my highlights from 2025.

Taking time out for ourselves is something we all need in order to function at our best.

And I'm delighted to share that we will be running this retreat again on April 25th 2026.

Hot off the press, tickets are now available- and currently at an early bird rate.

We're also offering gift vouchers so you can surprise a special friend for Christmas.

Just drop me a message once you've booked your tickets and we'll send you the voucher in return. Link is in my Bio...

Give the gift of a beautiful experience and your friend will thank you forever.

We can't wait to share this day with you.

Around this time 2 years ago, I received 1 of the Around this time 2 years ago, I received 1 of the biggest shocks in my business to date.

A few weeks after my first ever public speaking event at the Clean and Tidy home show- at the Excel in London no less - I received an email inviting me to speak at the one and only @ideal_home_show.

Thr email came from their media partner Media 10, who I weren't familiar with at the time, so my immediate reaction was that this was some kind of con.

My instinct was that the Ideal Home show couldn't possibly want me representing my young micro business at their globally renowned show, so I contacted them directly through their website.

It turned out they did want little ole me talking at their show.

And this year I had the privilege of being invited back.

Not only that, I had the huge pleasure of appearing alongside Sian of @iamsorted and President of @apdo_uk - and being interviewed by the lovely @louisegookey

Its such a 'pinch me' moment appearing at this show. Even now, having appeared there twice, saying out loud that I've spoken in public at the Ideal Home show seems surreal.

So this had to make an appearance in my Top 5 moments from 2025 didn't it?

Its not all been plain sailing this year. Certain Its not all been plain sailing this year.

Certain aspects of running this small business have been harder than ever. It's given me an opportunity to learn and rethink my approach.

Next year feels like a pivotal year for my growth- however this week I'm choosing to look back on my Top 5 standout moments of 2025.

There have been so many conversations with inspiring and incredible people in the last month alone, for which I'm very grateful.

And November saw no.5 of my highlights, High Vibe Live with my coach @dawnowencoach.

Being coached by Dawn over the last few months has seen a huge change in my mindset. I feel resilient, more focused and much more confident in where my business is headed.

At High Vibe Live - Dawn's full on day of having your face coached off (her words!) - I was asked to appear on the Success panel, such is the transformation in me this year.

It felt like a recognition of just how far I've come.

And I also had a moment of sweet revenge after last years High Vibe Live - if you were there #turtlegate has grown a life of its own!

So this year @bish_la_la and I turned up in matching turtle tshirts - we felt like naughty school girls!

Finding time to have fun is essential in business isn't it?

How would you like to save precious time this Chri How would you like to save precious time this Christmas?

With ALL THE THINGS to do, the idea of saving time and money is a welcome one.

So, if you're fed up with trying to cut the wrapping paper neatly and battling with the sellotape, let me introduce you to your new best friend - Furoshiki.

Furoshiki is the art of using material to wrap your gifts, which is endlessly reusable, saving you money over time.

You can even repurpose old pillow cases and scarves to save even more money.

And, its pretty simple to use and looks GORGEOUS when you're done.

This book took me seconds!

🎁 Bonus tip - only use Furoshiki on gifts for close family and friends, so you can ask for the material back afterwards! 😉

Its called Living in Gratitude and sums up every day for me at the moment.

December has been jam packed with fabulous conversations with incredible people.

And it culminated with a Christmas celebration yesterday with my business family.

Connection is everything when you run your own business so having these utterly fabulous ladies in my life means the world.

I came away with aching cheeks from 3 hours of smiling, a strained throat from all the catching up and a heart full of joy.

I will be forever grateful for finding my tribe.

Today, I have been educated and inspired in equal Today, I have been educated and inspired in equal measures.

I was invited along to my daughter's high school to help judge year 11 posters on the theme of mitigating climate change.

Just. WOW.

To hear the passion from 15 and 16 year olds on ways we can reduce our impact on the planet was nothing short of awe inspiring.

They offered solutions to help reduce temperatures in cities, ways we can utilise existing technologies in different applications to create new solutions - and in some cases introducing renewables in impoverished countries in order to support vital services and create jobs.

Some took a more political approach, some used the simplest of solutions on a bigger scale. Some looked at innovation, some used restoration.

These girls had researched where their ideas would have the most impact, including benefits to local communities through job creation or even just access to power.

I learned there's a new scheme to increase alkalinity in our Oceans using natural substances - we know acidification is damaging in so many ways, particularly to vital coral reef systems - and we know warming ocean temperatures are causing increased acidification, so any natural solution could prove vital.

But above that, I learned that our future is bright. These teens are smart, inventive and well informed.

And my heart broke a little today too. Our teens shouldn't have to be discussing ways to save their own futures. They shouldn't have to worry about the current pace of change leading to unprecedented climate breakdown in their lifetime.

But this is their reality.
And we must do all we can for their sake.
They didn't cause this mess. We did.

It never ceases to amaze me just how many incredib It never ceases to amaze me just how many incredibly talented and creative people there are in this country.

Makers of all kinds spend hours creating all manner of unique items.

And there's no better place to buy their wares than at a Christmas craft market.

So it seemed appropriate that on #smallbusinesssaturday I had a mooch round a local craft fair with my mum and daughter.

The jewellery caught my eye (may have persuaded my mum to buy a couple of pairs of earrings as its my birthday after Christmas 😊) but the tshirts, glassware, candles and other goodies were tempting too.

Supporting micro businesses has a real feelgood factor too. I'm not just another statistic lining the pockets of billionaire that will never know my name or recognise my face. And they're certainly not grateful for every single purchase, like small business owners are.

If you're struggling for gift ideas, just maybe there's a local independent business selling something perfect for your loved ones.

I'm feeling incredibly grateful right now. Doing I'm feeling incredibly grateful right now.

Doing something I love means I often feel privileged, but this week has been another level.

When you work in sustainability, you're generally working with people that are on the same mission, people that are trying to reduce emissions, make more conscious decisions - and ultimately are trying to leave this planet in a better state than it is now.

Which means I spend a lot of my time talking to those motivated by good.

Purpose led business owners are really powerful. Their mission isn't simply to make as much money as they can, they look at how they can make a positive impact.

And this week particularly, I've been surrounded by people that make my heart sing.

I've spent time in the company of BCorp Consultants and business owners, charity workers, educators and wellness practitioners this week and its really brought it home just how many people are working to make life better for others.

Within sustainability and wellbeing- 2 industries I sit firmly within- its easy to find yourself surrounded by these wonderful people...

and I know that's not the case for everyone. I know that this time of year can be particularly tough for a lot of people.

If that's you, practicing self care by taking time to get out for a walk can be so helpful. On days like today, when the rain held off, spending time in nature, with friends or by yourself has so many benefits, for both our physical and mental health.

Occasionally someone comes in to your life that ha Occasionally someone comes in to your life that has a real impact.

Yesterday, I had the huge pleasure of attending the Impact Showcase, created and organised by the wonderful soul that is @shehnaaz_latif

The Impact Showcase was designed by Shehnaaz to bring together a room full of people making a positive impact - on their communities, clients, families and the wider world - and give them the space to recognise their achievements over the past year.

And what a gathering!

We were each give 5 minutes in which to share our achievements and celebrate how far we've come in 2025.

Hearing from such a wide variety of pure goodness - ranging from a lady that supports people who have suffered hate crimes to someone who shares how to breathe properly, and the implications for our bodies if we don't breathe correctly (clue, you breathe from your stomach, not your lungs)

Their were representatives from the charity sector, the Rotary club, businesses set up to bring joy back in to our lives and remind us of the power of connection.

There were tears, there was a lot of applause and cheerleading, and even a little dancing at 11 o'clock in the morning! Why not??

There are very few people that would dream up such a beautiful idea - and also have the connections to bring these people together.

Shehnaaz Latif, the Impact Showcase wasn't just a celebration of our achievements, it was a celebration of you. Your ability to attract genuinely good people, your warmth and positivity in wanting them to recognise how much they contribute and your hard work in pulling off such a flippin awesome event.

I feel privileged to be part of your world.
